Pigeon Potente

A quick casual action RPG in which you're a pirate pigeon! Fight to survive a series of increasingly difficult battles using tools such as band-aids, crazy pistols and a swarm of hungry pigeons.

Theme---------------------------------------------------------

We approached the theme in two different ways:

1 - The way you command the character is a quite unusual weapon for a RPG game, being that you have only one button and you charge before using the skills.

2 - The kind of hero and powers you have, such as throwing popcorn on your enemies in order to summon an army of killer pigeons.

Commands------------------------------------------------------

Quick tap spacebar or click to use the basic attack.
Hold to charge the skill bar to use skills.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Kill 15 enemies to unlock the level up at the end of the skill bar.
Beware, they're leveling up too!

Credits-------------------------------------------------------

Di Zapata (music)
Felipe Dal Molin (game design)
Roni Silva (programming & animation)

Very good entry, feels like some of the randomness does detract from the strategy of fighting later enemies (no bandaids coming through when needing them, etc) but the game has some seriously slick presentation and graphics, definitely a rocking game indeed!

I like the game quite a lot, probably because I spent a lot of time trying to get a perfect rhythm going on the space bar! It gets too easy after a few levels though, and later on I can one shot everything with a simple tap. I stopped at monster level 101 (player level ~30), with no end in sight.

Too little going on in the gameplay department for my taste, but it's a very solidly made game. Excellent art and sound.

Very impressive art and music. Liked the unusual single-button control interface - took me a minute to understand the way the skills are triggered.

This was a lot of fun! I liked how simple the controls were and yet still kind of challenging. Oh and the fast-paced game play.

I would buy this to play on my iphone.

I'll be honest, I didn't expect this game to be so much fun from the screenshots. It was, though! The graphics are great, the game mechanic itself is great, it was fun to see what a new attack did. Well done!

The simplicity is a plus, the simplicity is a minus. I like the amalgamation of ideas that you've thrown into so much simplicity, too, though added together a few problems emerge:

The first attack is great if you spam it, and because you can spam it it becomes a "how fast can you click" game on a mouse... as this was meant to be a touch game (I presume), there is no way someone could tap their screen as fast as they could click the mouse (I'm really really fast at clicking. No jokes), and that creates a balance problem.

Level 2 attack is a good go-to too when you're tired from clicking. Three and four are situational. But then I find that the best thing to do is to cycle 3 and 4 until you get a heal when you can, and then keep using 2 until you need to heal, hopefully you remember in time and you heal and go back to spamming 1 or 2, depending on how tired you are of speed-clicking.

If you don't have heals when you need one, you're screwed. If your finger gets tired you're screwed.

It's a fun little idea and the juice is super good, but I think it needs more balance in this simplicity :)

I really enjoyed this game! The ridiculousness of the art made me intrigued enough to try it out and I was pleasantly surprised to find a nice, simple, compelling game mechanic within.

Nice game mechanics and very simple. I had a lot of fun playing it.
I just tought very difficult to level up my character, but maybe it is just me getting the right timing to level him up. Nice work overall
