Crystalline Computations by Skye

[raw]
made by Skye for LD36 (JAM)
So... this was fun!

This game is not really finished, but it is playable.
I tried my best to make sure that it does explain the controls to you, but essentially, left click on a "crystal" to start a link, and left click again on another "crystal" to create the link.

Sadly, our idea of making you match up waves didn't work out (couldn't get the graphics working), so it's numbers instead, so you might have to use the debug info to help you.

It's worth noting that you should try to read and understand the text, it's painful and hard because I wrote it in a rush, but it should help you work out what's going on.

This game is short, as I couldn't enter all of the levels in time!

Cool little puzzle game! Made it through all the levels, some made me think more than others. I think the game could be improved visually, but other than that I have no complaints.

This game looks great. It isnt too complicated and is a cool idea that is very appealing. I enjoyed the uniqueness of this game and how creative it was. Overall it was a very great game. 10/10 would play again.

Really neat idea! I had fun with this puzzle game. Some of the visuals could be updated and there could be more clarity in the controls and constructions, but the base game was very good.

It's a bit much to try to remember everything, but it's a great concept :D Nice work

Decent concept, but clarity on how to play was poor and the difficulty curve was all over the place. The concept was good enough that with some polish it could be a decent little puzzler, though.

Also, please take the debug UI out before uploading next time :/

I can't believe you just made me enjoy math... Would love to see improved visuals (especially UI, and colors of some of the crystals), but I think this is really great!

Honestly, got stuck on the first level -_-. I am so terrible at numerical sense. Still a good game though!

The math gets quickly hard! I was lost when divisions came in haha! But it's a clever idea, I like it a lot :)

Haha, the final level was the easiest to me (maybe because I learned about the mechanics by then?)
Too bad that you didn't finish it, but I kinda like what you were going for.

The background synth has a cool tone, with a very spacey feel. Not too complex, musically, but it works really well!

I think I found a bug... If I connect the '^' symbol without any links, it counts as 0. 0^0 should be 1, I think?

I'm talking about the "-8" result level, which I solved by subtracting a few numbers from, well... zero.

The simplistic graphics are also cool in a way, it felt a bit like wiring up some logical components ^_^

Nice puzzle game where -8 took me quite long, while the larger puzzles went quite quickly (I guess I must've be cheating as it was so easy?).

Cool idea and nice to have some maths again, was too long since uni! :)

I have to say that I'm an artist and always hated math, but this game is so interesting and have really nice mechanics, also really like the back story :P -itsandrea

Minimalistic graphics worked well with the game play. Some of the later levels were too easy with use of the power operator.

Very cool idea and style. Although not adding any functionality directly to the game, it would be neat to have the ability to move the crystals. Also, possibly improve the name system in your game for people to find the play game. (Capitalize the game name and don't have the game icon the same name as the game.(

Very cool, potentially educational game. I thought the instructions were clear and the gameplay was straightforward. The difficulty went up and down a lot but fun puzzles overall!

Debug text and minimal UI and ambient music feel like space. Puzzle is very good. Although it is a little difficult for me, I enjoyed it.

I like this kind of puzzle game. You manage to make cool puzzle, the rules are simple but we have to think a bit the solve them. Cool game :)
