I loved playing as the snail thing, even though it can't jump normally. The way you can use your momentum from climbing things to jump instead is addicting.

Nice game! Some places could be a bit easier, but overall it was a nice experience.

Like the old retro sounds and graphics. Platforming was a little difficult in places, but you said you didn't have time. Well done!

This has some really nice stuff going for it, but arrrrrg, the level design is soooo damn harsh!

(from pico-8 forums)

Amazing work, game feels very complete. Snail platforming feels strangely satisfying for some reason, the difficult section to the top right of the map was a lot of fun. The secret cat room pretty much made my life.

Very retro! I like this game a lot. It took me a bit to figure out the hidden passageways.

Agh! Didn't find the cat room before finishing the game (17:44 minutes). Really good game! The snail mechanic is a clear winner, and the end is surprising (title plus theme! :D). Lot of smart thinking and surprises in this one. Congratulations!

really nice! I got stuck attempting to platform around as the snail and ran out of will to continue :P

really clever idea and great work given the short time-frame!

Wonderful game! Difficult in the fun way and doesn't overstay it's welcome. I've been trying to speedrun it and got a decent 3:19. https://puu.sh/jPfrw/d1b36c5d6e.png

You did a very nice job with this. Being the snail took a little getting used to, but I was flying off walls left and right by the end of it. The ways you used to subtly introduce movement options were clever.

I found myself wishing there was some background music. I think it would have really improved the mood of the game.

I'm happy I made it to the end. Well designed, and I love that you did it in the pico-8.

Very good entry - I'm glad I discovered the 'X' key 8) must have pressed 100+ times. Whew! Some catchy background music, a bit of juicy tips/points/scores popping up and some extra maps + bonus items + hidden levels and it could easily be a commercial game.

I'm actually really curious if it's possible to beat this game in less than 2:30 now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=foNZX3D9jN0

Unique and fun platforming mechanics - snailing around the place was tricky but very satisfying. It would have been nice if we could become more types of monster, however. The tileset is a little noisy and hard to look at, but elsewhere the graphics are nicely done. Loved the cat room!

I got stuck at the snail part. The platforming was too hard. The low frame rate (at least on my PC) compounded the difficulty.
