This was the first time i was using object pooling as well as a turn based game...i had HUGE problems getting the thinking right on how to use an object pool and link monsters to UI. However NOW i know how and i will keep working on this project as I had a lot of fun, even if there is no game i learned so much in so little time.\r<br\/>\r<br\/>Andrew, yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaah really nothing there :P i didn't get very far game wise. I like the feel of the game. Though I would advise polishing the game later and not focusing too much on programming that you neglect the other aspects. Adding a block of backstory text would help, and adding sound would make the grind less tedious. This is my second Ludum Dare, I guess I am not used to the timeframe yet.\r\n\r\nThe premise for the game was going to be but i never got to the part where i can add story stuffs:\r\n\r\n\t* You are a demon \/ devil\r\n\t* You want to become THE DEVIL \/ King of Hell\r\n\t* to become the King of hell you need a crew\r\n\t* the most badass crew\r\n\t* so you fight through hell and defeat Satan's top dogs \r\n\r\nI tried building a turn based RPG (just the battle part). Combat should be similar to Chrono Trigger.\r\n\r\nI had  TON problems with the turn based part... took 99% of the time, which left me with little time to polish and add more features.\r\n\r\nHowever it was fun! Feedback appreciated.\r\n\r\nTons of bugs:\r\n- values don't update on wave change (for enemy health)\r\n\r\nThings I wanted to add:\r\n- enemy animations\r\n- more attacks + animations\r\n- art and sound?","title":"Hellish Grind"}
