Jungle Blitz by fauge

[raw]
made by fauge for LD33 (COMPO)
I unfortunatly did not get a chance to finish this, but its a working prototype. The app will load a text file and will load it into the game. Thats about as cool as it gets.

Controls:

wasd to move, space to shoot in the direction of your character.

to make your own map
0 are roads (plain tile)
1 are bricks (impassable terrain)
2 are dark grass (plain tile)
3 are light grass (plain tile)

I don't get how to play. It's just me and other guy walking around the map. I press Space and something white appear for a moment.

At least you tried :) This could've been a cool game if it had some action. I like games in which you can make your own levels. I made a level with a wall checkerboard. ;)

When I try to run the .jar, I just get a window that immediately closes itself. Not sure what to do!

@Jelinib: Download the example map file. That worked for me.

I wasn't sure what I was doing, but don't let that put you off! You made something and got it out there, that's more than so many people. Keep at it, maybe get people play testing if you can!

I couldn't figure out what to do, but it seems like a good start. Keep working and come back with awesome games :-)

@Slashee the Cow: Oh gee, I am a total dumb. Thanks!

I discovered that I cannot fit in 1-wide spaces, so I made a 2-wide spiral! WOO

This game looks like it has potential for with the custom maps! Need more mechanics to play with, but it's a great start!

If you're still working on this project, I look forward to seeing what it's going to be like in the future! As it stands, it's pretty barebones right now (but you already knew that).
