The monster is an human by PaulJs

[raw]
made by PaulJs for LD33 (JAM)
Game by Raphael B and Paul Js.

In "The monster is an human" or like i love call it "The asshole simulator 2015" (but my co-worker had the last word), you are a guy that gets money which comes literally from the sky. And you choose to use your money in a very useful way. Oh and an another guy die in front of you.

Good game !

PS : We chose not to add music and sfx.
PS2 : There is a gift in the game if you try not te be a monster.

The moving is a bit awkward since you have to wait a second until the guy reacts to keyboard input.

Ah ah, very funny game ^^ But the controls were frustrating, the character don't move for nearly one second when I change direction and he is really slow, I think it would be much more fun without these problems. Nice graphics too :)

This is a very original approach abd the graphics are nice, the controls are a bit awkward though

I'm not really sure the guy is an as... I mean, a monster, for taking free money from the sky. Also, aforementioned control issues.

Movement is excruciatingly slow even given the input lag problem. Not much motive to continue after getting the fourth upgrade. Music and sound effects would have added to the game.

Graphics were nice, drop the input lag, make money drop faster give it some challange.

I think you should have made the days shorter, and with the money falling faster. Judging by other comments people getting upgrades quicker might have kept them interested, and funny noises would have been great I think.

The feeling is strange but it's a good interpretation of the theme!

The controls feels heavy but the graphics are nice. The game finished before I was able to collect money for the last to objetcs. I don't know if it's intended or not.

Graphics are nice.
The character movement is veryyyyy slow and it's a bit frustrating.
I couldn't reach the last goal in one run despite I don't pay for any upgrades. I think it's because bills give random money and there is no feedback to indicate the amount (a color for each amount could resolve that).
Nice work in any case! :)

@Kerdelos The game ends when you are at the day 5, because the homeless... Because the story ends !
@S0lll0s Oh, i'm sorry but i don't why :( !
@Arche-san Dollars give : 55% 50$ OR 30% 100$ OR 10% 500$ OR 5% 5000$

Thanks all for your reviews ! Sorry for the controls, processing isn't a game maker so it's my last ludum dare with this software !

Simple game, but well made. The character movement, again, is a bit off... I included it in part 16 of my Ludum Dare 33 Compilation video series, if you would like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/aXZw1Jpw2JA

Not much to do, and as everyone else mentioned, the controls were a little annoying. They didn't get in the way much, as I could easily compensate by moving sooner, but they still were a little irritating. I also could not figure out how to help the homeless man.
