@stahlmanDesign Thanks for playing my game! Pico-8 (pico-8.com) is a "fantasy console" that I used to make my game. It's currently in alpha, and it costs $15 to download. It has built-in code, sprite, map, sfx, and music editors. While it costs some money to download, and it's in alpha, it's extremely well polished and an enjoyable experience to make a game with. I highly encourage others to give it a shot!

Well working game, but not very related to the theme. I liked the sound design :).

I agree with others that this isn't really a game that uses the theme in any meaningful way. However, it is a pretty good pico-8 game. Nicely polished, but I think the balancing could use some tweaking... things escalated quickly.

Really fun. Loved the simple graphics for the plane (and the background).

Very pure and fast-paced shmup. The connection to the theme seems completely tacked on, but the mechanics are solid. The difficulty ramps up extremely quickly, and the simple and clean graphics ensure that the game still makes sense even when you're vastly outnumbered. Good work, I think all it really needs is a soundtrack to bring out the action!
