"Project Jumpius" - a game for LD33 about jumping in city and fighting against humanity

I was afraid of making something ambitious. So I decided to make a simple game, but polish it as much as I can in 48 hours.

Controls :
- click and hold LMB to increase a jumping force. a red trail shows a jumping trajectory.
- release LMB to make a jump
- while sitting on something - click RMB to throw it. a purple trail shows a throwing trajectory.
- you need a blood from humanity to increase health and make big jumps
Target : survive as long as possible

I uploaded the game on Itch.io and the source project on Github.

UPDATE : added an ability to play a web version
UPDATE(v1.1) : i think i fixed a bug with rescaling a monster when he got parented to something. if i did not - let me know :)

Nice and simple. The graphics are nice!
Maybe you could have used the throwing mechanic for some more interesting purposes though.
Overall, pretty nice!

The Mac OS X version works, at least on Yosemite :)

I liked the graphics. The game felt like it had a lot of polish to it! I got trapped for a bit and didn't really know what my objective was though. Maybe adding a score of some sort would have helped?

The visual clutter is this games biggest weakness. It can be hard to tell what is going on at times.

It is a shame because it is an otherwise solid game.

I think I broke the game... I turned into a super small pixel monster thing.
Maybe I got parented to an object that was scaled down?
Enemies can't hit me... I feel a highscore comming up xD

For some reason the main character became invisible and didn't appear back; I could keep playing but just didn't see him.
And the main objective wasn't quite obvious.
Anyway the game is nice.

Demy, SojaBird was right. The game changes the scale of the monster for some reason when he got parented. Trying to fix that. But the game is still playable and you can scale it back to normal by jumping on something and throwing it.

This is a nice intelligent game imo! I liked the graphics quite much, and the controls are original and may allow some nice moves.
However (because there is always a "however" :) ), it starts with way too much enemies I think. I needed 3 games to begin to understand a bit more precisely the controls, and even in the end I didn't always do what I wanted. It goes too quickly, I feel like I need to move all the time, but I can't control my jumps precisely enough. Maybe pausing the game while we are choosing the trajectory?
(Now that I think about it, maybe that's why you start on the buildings... But I didn't get immediately that I could "stick" to helicopters.)
A very nice game, interesting, but it could use some tutos or something like that.

I really liked this game its strangely addictive and I love the noise the little people make when you squish them. I wish I could kill those tanks!

Indeed a very polished game with a neat core mechanic. Most complete out of the half dozen I have tried so far. Have to respect taking an idea for a jam and polishing it well - I find it quite challenging myself! Throwing helicopters out of the sky is fun. Would have been nice to have more buildings or vertical levels to play with.

Very innovative and highly polished game, impressive for the short development time! Had fun playing it but couldn't make it past the 1-minute mark haha. Very well done, mechanics are simple yet engaging and the art design is very appealing. Great job!

The innovative type of control is definitely the strongest part of the game, although I also liked all the other stuff. Generally controls could also use a tweak or two, because it was hard to deal with enemies after getting on the ground, but it wasn't a very serious problem, it just made the game a bit harder. Anyways, it's a good entry!

The main mechanic is simple yet works very well. The idea of smashing things around is very fun. The audio-visual presentation is also good although simplistic. The monster was not the most original design but the gameplay was the main focus. I feel a game that was a little more leniant would have been more fun. But overall, great entry!
